The Infographic below shows some of our work in 2024-25 (please click to Big):
Some of our successes in recent years are below:
- Our secret investigation has exposed massive atrocities in the slaughterhouses and as a result, two men have been jailed. Our campaign persuaded the ten largest supermarkets in the UK to deal with the slaughterhouses that have CCTV installed.
- Now, after almost a decade’s campaigns and secret investigations, we have persuaded the government to make CCTV compulsory for all the slaughterhouses in England.
- We played a central role in preventing Cambridge University from building a major facility to experiment on primary.
- Since the launch of our campaign against animal -driven animal experiences, AGE UK has stopped funding animal research. Mary Curi has also adopted a policy of not funding animal experiences.
- We prevented the Oxford City Council and the East Bourne Borough Council from introducing cruel horses.
- We persuaded the Westminster City Council to reject the devastating plans for horse racing in central London.
- We stopped horses sold for meat on the sale of ASCOT horses.
- We played a central role in persuading the racing industry to make changes to its Whip Rules, which resulted in severe penalties to the culprits.
- In the context of our #Markitvegan Campaign, ASDA, Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons, Iceland and Waitrose have pledged to label their brand wagon products.
- We played a central role in persuading natural resources to ban the physical shooting on its land.
- We landed in the shooting industry with a tax bill paid without £ 20 million.
- We forced John Lewis to end his shooting club and to raise and shoot titles on his state.
- We played a key role in getting the government rid of hunting.
- We helped prevent a terrifying new factory farm from being constructed for chickens.
- Our government petition has approved the 100,000 signatures needed to mobilize parliamentary debate to ban traps – and the Welsh government has already announced plans to ban these cruel animals.
- We worked hard together with some of the best local groups to prevent a series of rabbit farms from success! As a result of this successful campaign, the owner of T&S Rabbits retired from the industry!
- We are cooperating with Xcellr8, helping the world’s only wagon laboratory, cruel, outdated lathel dose to fund their research to eliminate the use of 50 tests. The purpose of Xcellr8 is to change the test, which is about 100 years old, with safe, more reliable, human -related methods
- We held our first Future of Science Conference! About 100 students of science visited an animal -free laboratory in Warrington – where they heard from scientists in different fields. From safety testing and toxicology to cancer research and dermatology – everything without animal use!
