Thank you for choosing to adopt Ontario SPCA. We are excited to help you find a new member of the family!
To personally adapt to our staff and volunteers, the adoptions are welcomed at our animal centers in the province from 11am to 6pm a week. We encourage visitors to arrive 30-45 minutes before the time is closed to ensure that we can send you home with a new dear friend the same day.
Our philosophy of adoption
The philosophy of adoption of Ontario SPCA and Human Society is likely to remove obstacles to adoption by a decision -free, decision -free conversation with those who are potentially adopted. Ontario SPCA staff and volunteers focus on education, help and resources before and after adopting a successful place for both animals and adoptions.
Ontario SPCA is determined to adopt a transparent adoption and will ensure that all medical and practices about animals have been fully disclosed before adoption.

VIP – very important claws
What is VIP animal? These Ontario are animals in the SPCA and the Human Society, which may need some extra help. This program allows our animal behavior coordinators to set success in our animal centers using evidence -based training and combined with animal care teams across the province. Fear of Free® techniques. VIP -ranked animals may include a dog that needs to help learn new behaviors and get acquainted with the world around them, a teenager, who is passing through horrible teenagers, or an adult Friends who do not believe in new and difficult changes in their lives. Flynn friends are also part of the program, as animal center settings can be difficult adjustments for cats. Our teams will work towards keeping these cats comfortable and enriched, keeping their mental and physical health at the forefront, while highlighting them as their VIP. What does it mean to bring a VIP friend to the house?
Our animal center staff will offer an individual care plan, including information sheets and a training and enrichment plan that has been implemented and proved successful. Our aim is to empower newly adopted our friends to set up a long, happy life for a long, happy life. Some of our VIP friends will still need extra training and extra love when once adopted at home. Others can only need to get rid of a comfortable and supportive environment. Very important claws mean very important people and a very important place in the lives of these friends.
